01 — Journey

Journey

Natively transversal — at the intersection of computer science, law, business and people management.

  1. 002014–2017

    The researcher who builds

Lead Developer of the open-source project Cytomine at ULiège: a large-scale biomedical platform for collaborative visualization and annotation of biomedical images. Built a solution connecting two worlds that did not talk to each other — histologists and ML bioengineers — data centric. Pioneering in 2014.

  2. 012017–2023

    The founder who learned

Co-founder of a company built around free and open-source software. Six years as CTO: product roadmap, tech stack, open-source community, driving the digitization of the histologist profession. Board member.

  3. 022016–2025

    The community builder

President of Kodo Wallonia for 9 years: launched the CoderDojos in Wallonia, grew the non-profit into a resource partner for the Walloon Region on coding initiation in primary schools. Co-founder of OpenJustice.be (2020): the complete edit history of the Belgian Constitution put on GitHub. As a volunteer.

  4. 032023–today

    The ecosystem amplifier

Software Engineer, Engineering Manager then Engineering Director within the SFEIR group. Author and editorial-board member of the sfeir.dev blog (150+ authors). Mission: grow SFEIR’s presence on the French-speaking Belgian tech scene.
